The List - Boston's Queer Agenda

The List is a free weekly email calendar of events and bi-weekly classifieds for the Boston region. The List encourages networking and centralizes information about upcoming events, volunteer and job opportunities, apartment postings and community announcements. The List has its finger on the pulse of the women's community -- subscribe now to get up-to-the-minute info on events and activities.

Cultural Groups

Keshet

Keshet seeks to create a fully welcoming and inclusive Jewish community for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Jews in Greater Boston. Keshet develops leadership for change among GLBT Jews and allies to effect concrete changes in Jewish institutions' policies and cultures. Keshet also creates opportunities for GLBT Jews to come together, celebrate, and explore Jewish identities in an affirming environment.

Massachusetts Area South Asian Lambda Association (MASALA)

MASALA, based in Boston, is an organization that provides a safe and supportive social environment for Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans, and Questioning New England-based South Asians (from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tibet; and from the global South Asian Diaspora)

Queer Asian Pacific Alliance (QAPA)

The Queer Asian Pacific Alliance (QAPA) exists to provide a supportive social, political, and educational environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning women and men of Asian and Pacific Islander (A/PI) heritage in the Boston and New England area. This is inclusive of A/PIs, A/PI Americans and those who are of mixed A/PI heritage.

Somos Latinos

Somos Latin@s LGBT Coalition is a group by and for the self-identified Latino/a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community of Massachusetts, that works towards the advancement, recognition and education of Latino/as LGBT related issues by the general population, and provides safe spaces, activities, and social support to its members.

Queer Women of Color and Friends (QWOC+ Boston)

Queer Women of Color and Friends (QWOC+ Boston) is a group dedicated to creating a truly diverse social space for LGBTQ women of color in the Greater Boston area. They are known for their quarterly social networking events, which repeatedly prove to be one of the only occasions in Boston that draw out members of ALL ages, ethnic backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations and even tax brackets.

Biversity

The Boston Gay Women's Meetup Group

From their website: Our purpose is to build community for women in the Boston Area. Our hope is to create more community for gay/queer women in the Boston Area, especially for women who have recently moved here, or who have recently come out. Also, to help change the story that it is so hard to meet people in Boston. We are an inclusive group for women of all ages and backgrounds who identify as gay or queer in any way.

Cambridge Lesbian Rap

Lesbian Rap has met since the 1970's at the Cambridge Women's Center (CWC) in Cambridge, MA. This Yahoo group facilitates communication among attendees and supporters of the Monday lesbian rap group at CWC.

Femme 4 Femme

A social group for feminine bisexual women and lesbians in their 20's and 30's in the Boston area who are attracted to other feminine women.

Mad Femme Pride

femme/grrrl/women's community events for Boston queers of all Colors and our allies of all kinds.

Mass Lesbians Meeting

The group welcomes Lesbians aged 21 and above, in all stages of outness, both singles & couples are welcome, and we aren't concerned with butchness or femininty. Activities include: dinners, game nights, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, museum visits, and much more!

North Shore Rainbow Connection

This is an all women's adult group, specifically for the North Shore area of Boston, but other MA and New England women are welcome. It is where one will be free to discuss all women's issues, yet be respectful to one another, make new friends and relationships, and meet one another for different social events and activities.

Older Lesbian Energy

OLE is a MA-based group for women over forty who enjoy socializing for such events as museum trips, beach walks, movies, poker games, and the semi-annual OLE Weekend at the Provincetown Inn.

Women Meeting Women

Women Meeting Women provides social, sports, educational, support, networking and informational opportunities for lesbians in the southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts areas.

Wonder Women of Boston (WWB)

Wonder Women Boston (WWB) is a social and networking group for 20 to 30-something lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered women who love and value women of all types.

The Metrowest Bisexual Women's Meetup

A safe private meetup group for bisexual women. Originally created for married bisexual women, we are welcoming of all. Share experiences, talk, meet new people, and just be able to be yourself. Resources and support for bisexual and bi-curious women. Geographically meetups will be held from Worcester to Southern NH to Boston to Providence and anywhere in between. Join us and see what's going on!

West of Boston Over 40 Gay Women's Meet Up

This meet-up is for gay women over 40. Singles and couples are welcome. They will get together for social activities indoors and outdoors.

Gender Crash

Gender Crash is a spoken word and performance event held 2nd Thursday every month at Spontaneous Celebrations 45 Danforth St, Jamaica Plain at 7:30p, doors open at 7:15p. All Ages.

Lesbian Avengers

Dykes, Bi, and Trans women -- and their friends -- fighting for the survival and visibility of queer women.

Queer Soup

Queer Soup is a collaboration of Queer Artists who cultivate new works that introduce, unite, and incite audiences by using laughter to smuggle ideas across society's borders.

Rainbow Cafe

The Rainbow Cafe group is for activist, academic, intellectual or artistic dykes to meet for coffee/drinks in gay-owned or gay-friendly establishments in and around Boston. In addition, there are outings to points of interest to the group (e.g., cultural events, films, dancing, etc).

Rainbow Riders

A group of fun loving motorcycling babes in the Neponset Valley area & beyond.

Voices Rising

Voices Rising is a women's chorus, founded upon feminist principles of community, inclusivity, activism and education. We sing together to give voice to our lives, identities and beliefs, and to celebrate the diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and women's communities in and around Boston.

Queer Tango in Jamaica Plain

Duro and Vio are working to expand the world of Queer Tango by encouraging gender complexity and exploration. No age limit, no previous dance experience, no partners needed!

Lesbian Moms

Meet other local lesbian moms and their families. Expecting lesbian couples are also welcome!

Lesbian Movieland

Lesbian Movieland is for the ladies in MetroBoston who want to watch movies about lesbians. It's that simple. Would you like to host an event or suggest a movie for the group to watch? Contact Cora, the organizer.

The Boston Area Gay Women Motorcyclists Meetup Group

From their website: This meetup is for women who may or may not belong to area clubs but are also looking to branch out and meet other riders along their way or perhaps try something other than the usual "club"... We are an inclusive group for all women who identify as queer or gay in any way. Meet other local women riders! Gather to plan rides -- long and short. Discuss riding tips and more!
